About Our Organization:
Revolution Workshop is a nonprofit social enterprise that provides construction and woodworking workforce development for unemployed or underemployed people in partnership with area businesses. We deliver financial independence and careers through skills, hope, and resilience.
Revolution Workshop was founded in 2017 by skilled trades employers and workforce development leaders to achieve a two-fold mission: to reduce inequity in Chicago by providing training leading to financial prosperity for residents in underserved communities; and to decrease the acute talent shortage in the construction sector by providing trained workers to skilled-trades employers.

About the Position:
Communications, Development, and Data intern

Data work, including entry, tracking, analysis, and helping with our transition to Salesforce (giving them valuable exposure to one of the most widely used CRM platforms in the corporate sector).

Capturing and gathering images and videos for social media

Supporting the development of creative assets and content for several major campaigns (fundraising, social enterprise)

Competitor Analysis, including research via social, email marketing, web and digital presence

Contributing to our storytelling efforts by interviewing participants and writing stories

Prospecting for in-kind support
Time Commitment:
30 hours per week for 8 weeks
To ensure proper safety of our staff, we are currently on a rotation, where staff have set days that they are in the office and set days that they work remotely. The intern's schedule may shift depending on the projects they're working on (i.e., if they're developing curriculum, they may be present when the Business Services Manager is in the office). Assume a work schedule of Monday through Thursday, with select days in the office and select days working remotely.
$15/hr compensation
