 About the Positions: 

​

Program Assistant Interns - One for the UNITY Squad; One for the SYEP Tech Corp

Program Assistant Interns will be responsible for providing administrative oversight, which would include monitoring attendance and timesheets, contacting students and collecting paperwork; maintaining case notes on all assigned participants; and maintaining contact with any student who has an unexplained absence to discuss progress, offer assistance, and encourage retention, including documenting contact with absent students; and conducting program evaluations. Ensure that students complete My Chi, My City learning modules and surveys. Conduct weekly check-ins with students who may be deemed high-risk within the program. Assist instructors with facilitating curriculum and developing team-building activities to build relationships and foster a positive learning environment. Assist students with preparing for final program projects.

The capstone project for the UNITY Squad Intern will be to help students prepare for their final projects. UNITY Squad's final project will be five groups developing presentations on the program's five core focus areas (leadership, health and wellness, trauma-informed, workforce/ college readiness/ Financial literacy, and civic engagement). Tech Corp's final project will be mock business web pages. Five groups will design a web page for each business.

 Time Commitment:

Up to 35 hours/week plus 5 hours/week of professional development activities

$17.50/hr compensation
